This is How it Started:
- scroll plate is from Pier 1
- turquoise round place mat Target $1.99
- bowl is thrifted, it was yellow but i spray painted it dover white.
- lemons and limes bought at Roberts clearance store last year
I wanted this place mat to look a little more frilly.
So I cut 2 strips of burlap about 3" wide and hot glued to the back of the mat.
This is how my table looks right now.
You must know I re-did these chairs (painted & Reupholstered) and you can see how I did this HERE!
I finally got ALL 4 chairs done yesterday! yeah and I think it looks so Fabulous!
AFTER BEFORE
I distressed the legs a little to show off the
wood details
I think a little distressing is good because these
chairs
are vintage and they arent brand new....they have lots of character.
I did refinish this table as well...its a hand me down. Its an ANtique. I Used to hate the way it looked. It had white spots where you could see when the people before us didnt use a hot pad and the heat developed a mark on the surface. Me and my friend re-finished the top and painted and sealed the bottom in an Off white color.
