The Scoop: So i bought this lamp from a local thrift store a few weeks ago. I had some plans for this...
1-took off the gold trim on the shade.
2-taped off the wood and primed it white with Kilz primer (can be found at Walmart)
3- measured around the shade 30" so i doubled it to 60". Cut fabric for the ruffle around. I pinned it where i wanted it to fold. ( you can do a gathering stitch but i didnt) hot glued it to the shade.

4- You can see my clear containers of fabric I got those and just pulled all the colors out that matched. I came up with some flowers and hot glued them together and put it on.
5- then i decided to paint the antique brass turquoise just with acrylic paint that i had
6-I finished the white off with a little distressing and Ta dah! I love it because its sooo different.
thanks for the link up ladies!
